A past weekend. Written after the fact from what local sources listed and the weather that actually happened.
Seattle stayed dry under clouds, cool on Saturday and a touch warmer on Sunday at about 68. The weekend was all early fall: salmon in Issaquah Creek, pumpkin patches and corn mazes, glass pumpkins and a goat movie night.

The weather rule that weekend: Cool day: bring a jacket and plan the outdoor stuff for midday, when it's warmest.
Downtown Issaquah's Story Stroll featured Watercress, Andrea Wang's tender picture book about family memory and heritage. It was free, a gentle read for starting bigger conversations.
Garden designer and author Riz Reyes led a free kids' workshop at Squak Mt. Nursery, with a show-and-tell of fresh harvest and a fall planting project to take home.
Sammamish Animal Sanctuary screened The Sheep Detectives alongside a mini goat lounge, with popcorn included. Kids could watch the movie or hang with the goats.
